The photo was taken in Clover, Virginia. Falisha commented that she might never have known about Henrietta Lacks if she had not read The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, by Rebecca Skloot read as part of the UT Health Science Center’s One Community/One Book project in 2010.
