UT Health Science Center students, faculty, residents and staff can now reserve group study rooms using a new online system. Students have long been asking for the ability to reserve study rooms on their own, and this system allows them to make a reservation any time of day or night, showing room availability for easy selection and reducing wait time. It also frees up staff to assist others with their research needs. Data shows that 4 out of 10 questions received last year were about room reservations. Staff are still available to take reservations during library business hours.
How to reserve a group study room:
- Reserve online at www.library.uthscsa.edu/rooms.
- Use a smartphone to scan the QR code located outside each room to check availability or reserve a room.
- Request a reservation in person at the Circulation Desk or call 210-567-2440.
Individual study rooms are on a first-come-first-served basis and are not available for reservation through the online system. All study rooms are limited to HSC ID holders, and library users are reminded to wear their ID badges so they are always visible.
