Corinne McLeod, MS III and winner of the 2014 Danny Jones History of the Health Sciences Essay Contest, will present her paper at the March 18, 2015 meeting of the History of Medicine Society. Corinne’s paper, entitled Sex Reassignment Surgery: the Early Years, discusses the history of the development of surgery to treat gender dysphoric and trans* individuals.
The History of Medicine Society, a subgroup of the Friends of the P. I. Nixon Medical Historical Library, welcomes university faculty, staff, and students as well as area health professionals, students and faculty from other universities, and anyone interested in the history of medicine.
