Laredo Regional Campus Library Hosts AHEC Students for Essay Writing Contest

Representatives from the Mid Rio Grande Border Area Health Education Center (AHEC), Texas A&M International University, and the Laredo of Tomorrow Quality of Life Task Force spoke to AHEC students in the computer lab at the Laredo Regional Campus Library on Monday, November 21 to kick off an essay writing contest. Students competing in the contest will be asked to describe their own definition and concerns about their quality of life and to include things that they consider when evaluating quality of life for themselves, others, and the environment. They are also asked to offer what they plan to do to improve their personal quality of life and that of their community.

The Library computer lab is being made available during after school hours, so that the students may work on their essays.
