UT Health Librarians Exhibit @ New Public Library in Universal City

Librarians Kirsten Lorenzen, pictured above, and Peg Seger provided a National Library of Medicine (NLM) exhibit table at an open house for the new Universal City Public Library. The exhibit was at the request of former UT Health librarian Susan (Hunnicutt) Ennis who is now the director of the Universal City Library. Over 300 Universal City residents attended the open house.

The UT Health Libraries outreach services work to promote awareness of current and authoritative health information from the NLM for South Central Texas health consumers and area health professionals through library locations in San Antonio and Laredo. Reliable health information impacts an individuals capacity to make informed decisions about their own health and that of their families. For area health professionals, access to the best current biomedical information impacts decisions on clinical care and the practice of evidence-based medicine.
