Annual Health Fair at San Fernando Cathedral Reaches San Antonio Area Medically Underserved
The San Fernando Health and Safety Fair, sponsored for over 25 years by the San Fernando Cathedral, is an annual tradition that offers health screening to individuals in the community who have no insurance or are underinsured. Over 400 volunteer doctors, nurses, health specialists, community volunteers and students provide the screening services. Each year the Briscoe Library provides an exhibit table at the fair promoting reliable consumer health information from the National Library of Medicine.
