Access to Library Resources
Beginning June 3, 2024, access to library resources will require a login regardless of location (on campus, off campus, or VPN).
Description
This transition requires all UT Health San Antonio affiliates to log in to the library website using their UTHSCSA domain username and password. This change will not disrupt access to or availability of library resources or services. It enhances security and ensures seamless access to essential research and clinical resources.
Access to Library Online Resources for Adjunct, Adjoint, and Clinical Faculty
Starting September 1, 2024, all Adjunct, Adjoint, and Clinical Faculty will need to obtain a network account through IT Services to access the library’s online resources. Please follow these steps to complete the process.
- Network Account Request: The sponsoring department (e.g., business administrator, director, manager, ACE or admin) must complete and submit an IT Services Network Account Request for the faculty member.
- Account Setup: After the network account is created by IT Services, the department sponsor will be notified and will provide the faculty member with their username and password.
What you need to do:
Use the Library Login located at the top right of library website. Note: If you are using VPN, you will still need to use the Library Login.

Helpful Tip:
Download LibKey Nomad to save time
LibKey Nomad, a browser extension introduced in April, helps you quickly identify full-text online articles and other resources you have access to through the Library. You can find more information and the download instructions at this link (takes about 2 minutes to download).
After downloading this browser extension, a branded icon it will appear on our databases, journal pages, and even Wikipedia. You will be able to click on the link for an article (you may be prompted to log in if you haven’t already), or you’ll see our library login reminder in the bottom left corner.
