Library Spaces

Briscoe Library has an array of spaces on the 3rd, 4th and 5th floors available for collaborative and individual study, meetings, relaxation and reflection, and more.

Group Study Rooms and Conference Rooms may be reserved by current UT Health students, faculty, and staff. Times and days may vary depending on the type of room.

Reserve a Room

Students

Individual Study Rooms (4th and 5th floors) are available to current UT Health students on a first come, first served basis 24/7/365.

Group Study Rooms (3rd and 5th floors) may be reserved 24/7/365. Only UT Health students, faculty, and staff may use these rooms. Daily 4-hour reservation limit and reservations may be made up to two weeks in advance.

Conference Rooms Current students may reserve the Collaboratory (4th floor conference room) weeknights 6 pm – 7 am, and any time on weekends. The Bowden Conference Room and the Howe Conference Room may only be reserved for department sponsored meetings.

Departments (Faculty/Staff)

Group Study Rooms and Individual Study Rooms (4th and 5th floors) may be reserved by departments for specialized testing Monday – Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. To reserve multiple testing rooms, submit request through the Testing Room Reservation Request Form.

Conference Rooms may be reserved by current UT Health faculty or staff on weekdays from 8 am to 5 pm. Use the Conference Room Reservation Request to book a space for recurring meetings.

The third floor is a place for both collaborative and individual study at tables, computers, study rooms, and The Hub.

    • Only available for interviews and testing purposes
    • NOT available for general study. Please used the available individual or group study rooms on the 3rd, 4th, or 5th floors.

  • 2 individual study pods
  • Coffee & fresh food vending machines
  • Entry lounge area – counter-height tables and chairs, microwaves, & Keurig machine
  • Bowden Conference Room (3.026) – reservable Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM for department meetings

Reserve a Third Floor Study Room

The fourth floor is a place for individual study where you can work in complete silence at tables, study carrels and study rooms.

  • 12 individual study rooms – department testing reservations only Monday – Friday 8 am to 5 pm
  • 6 individual study pods
  • Individual study carrels
  • Silent study tables
  • The Collaboratory (4.074) – reservable Monday – Friday 8 am to 5 pm for department meetings, students can reserve evenings and weekends
  • Reflection Room (4M)

Reserve the Collaboratory (Evening/Weekend)

The fifth floor is a place for collaborative group study at restaurant-style booths, group tables, study rooms and a relaxation area.

  • 9 reservable group study rooms
  • 12 individual study rooms – department testing/interview reservations only Monday – Friday 8 am to 5 pm
  • Exercise desks (3 stationary bike desks & 1 walking treadmill desk)
  • Collaborative study tables & booths
  • Individual study carrels
  • Relaxation area – games & puzzles

Library conference rooms are available for faculty and staff, Monday-Friday, from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
