Two Libraries, One Community: Expanded Access!

As part of the merger, The UT Health San Antonio Library and the UTSA Libraries are working together to bring you expanded access to resources and services. Our libraries serve unique patron groups, with varied research needs, so each time we renew a contract for a database or journal we’re keeping a close eye on building a shared digital collection.

This is a complex process that will change and evolve over time. In this first year, we are investigating no-cost solutions to expand access. To date, 17 databases have extended access to UT Health San Antonio students, faculty, and staff. These resources cover subjects such as art, architecture, finance, information technology, and language.

View the detailed list on our UTSA/UT Health San Antonio Shared Resources database page. Some databases require registration, so follow the instructions included in the summary. New items will be added as they become available.

In addition to databases, did you know you can request print books in the UTSA Libraries collections through Interlibrary Loan? If there’s a print book you want that  they own, just submit an ILL request and we’ll borrow a copy for you.

Stay tuned for updates as we align services and launch new initiatives designed to enhance your library experience.

If you have any questions or would like to suggest a resource, view our information page.
