The UT San Antonio Health Science Center Libraries offers a growing collection of Read & Publish agreements designed to help researchers reduce or eliminate article processing charges while expanding access to scholarly publishing opportunities.

Faculty, staff, students, and researchers can learn more by visiting the Libraries’ dedicated Read & Publish Agreements page. Here you can find:

  • An overview of the service
  • How the agreements work
  • Benefits for authors
  • The Libraries’ role in the process
  • Frequently asked questions
  • A breakdown of available publisher discounts

Eligible Journals Dashboard
The Eligible Journals dashboard allows users to search for publishing discounts by journal title, subject area, or publisher. The Quick Counts tab provides an at-a-glance view of the number of eligible titles available by discount level, publisher, and subject.

Current Savings Dashboard
The Current Savings dashboard highlights how UT Health San Antonio affiliates are using Read & Publish agreements and the savings achieved so far. Users can filter results by date, school, department, affiliate status, fiscal year, quarter, and grant-funded articles.

Publisher Details Guide
Because each publisher agreement includes unique eligibility requirements and workflows, the Publisher Details research guide provides detailed information on each package, including eligibility criteria, instructions for using the agreements, and information about the approval process.
